UNESCO Conventions are Conventions and Agreements of a normative nature adopted by the General Conference or by intergovernmental conferences convened by UNESCO alone or jointly with other international organisations. International conventions are subject to ratification, acceptance or accession by States. They thus define the rules with which States undertake to comply.
